Freewrite attempt-->I'm new at this so please be kind. [13 Sep 2007|10:51pm]
[ mood | Still Calm. ]

Peering out of plaid curtains and into the moist darkness I am overwhelmed by one sensation: contentment. There is something about the night the soothes me, be that what it may. Perhaps it's the soft croak of the crickets that is ocassionally interrupted by a stumbling student who misjudged their alcohol limit. Maybe it's the silence. The fact that on around 2-3AM most people are not there. The fact that if I were to be in Europe, many would still be out frequenting pubs because the night is young. However, in Manchester, NH on a Thursday night the pub at this time would not be something to flaunt. Either way, the darkness causes a sense of satisfaction. My earliest memory of the darkness consists of hide-and-seek. I suppose it was really called man-hunt. I never liked the title of that because it made me think of savage people who hunted humans as if they were animals. I suppose kind of the Lord of the Flies mentality. I guess that's why I probably always called it hide-and-seek even if it was outside and in the dark. Either way, I was six and the youngest one playing. It was the time when you still carried your rubber one cent to make 50 cents to buy out of the little machines before you went in a store. You were proud of them too. You'd collect them all and show them to your friends and try to prove that yours were better. It was when it didn't matter how much something cost. What mattered was how cool you made it seem. Anyway, I had two of those sandwiched in the front pocket of my purple skirt. One was a miniture dog with a red collar--Ruff. The other was a dalmation who I named Perdita after the 101 dalmation movie which was my ultimate favorite movie. Even if Cruela gave me nightmares. So, as my cheap rubber toys were sandwiched in my purple skirt, I began to play with my best friend Jill, my two cousins Tyler and Alex and a few of their friends from the neighborhood. We decided to break up into teams. Jill and I decided since we were the bestest friends in the entire world and did everything together that we certainly couldn't be seperated. Especially since we had on matching outfits. Her skirt was pink though and her two rubber toys were cats--Jinx and Sammy. Jinx was named after the Cat in Hokus Pokus. We both liked to base things off of our favorite movies because at the time the television was one of our biggest influences, aside from one another of course.....ok 5 minutes are up.

Orbs "Curse County" [13 Sep 2007|10:42pm]
[ mood | calm ]

Dear livejournal,

My title is the topic of my latest lyric that I am attemping to write. It's going to be a song based on the haunted asylum in Taunton, MA. Right now Catherine is reading a book on ghost stories. Saint Anselm College has a couple stories issued in the book. The book is titled "Manchester Ghost" in case anyone was interested.

So tomorrow is Friday. I'm not quite sure what I am doing, but since I'm going home next weekend I'm staying on campus this weekend. I have a meeting for my major this weekend anyway. I also need to do some extensive research on studying abroad (courses, prices, locations etc). I need to make sure that it fits into my major because I do not an outrageously painful senior year.

I suppose that is all for the time being. Perhaps I will try to do a freewrite.

Best,
Jenna

I'll always be there in your ups and in your downs. [13 Aug 2007|07:06pm]

Hello,

I made a mental note to try to post in here again before I left, so here we go:

Today is my Dad and Tina's anniversary. They should be arriving home from their trip to Sturgis around 11:30-12:00AM. Basically, I've been just straightening things up a smidge before their arrival. I'm just trying to make it easier for Tina when they return. Anyway, I return to MA on the 16th, which will be nice. I have a great deal of things to accomplish there before I depart for school.

I am considering studying abroad next semester in Ireland. I'm not certain if I wrote that before or not. Either way, I spoke with the head of that department at my school. I just need to set up an appointment to meet with him personally once school starts. Apparently, they have schools in Ireland that you can't go to unless you're on the Dean's List. I find that quite amusing. Either way, I am enthralled with the thought of going abroad. England is always an option as well.

I started compossing two songs today, which is good. I'm trying to do as much as I can now before school starts since I actually have the time :]

Oh yes, a random note: Today upon my return from the grocery store I was greeted with a splatter of blood all over the kitchen. It wasn't your typical blood spill, it appeared as if someone had taken a paintbrush and dabbed crimson paint in a quick brush stroke in order to create the effect of movement. Naturally, I was worried because I was not certain if my dog had harmed one of my cats (you never know with him). However, no harm was done to any of the animals. It's just a msytery.

Well, that is all for now. Have a lovely evening.

I stumbled across this journal and decided to update. [10 Aug 2007|02:30am]
[ mood | Tired & not at the same time. ]

I was looking at my older journals and decided to see if I could remember any of my passwords. Apparently, now you need to have at least one number in your password so I had to change mine. Anyway, it's been quite some time. I'm not sure if people even still write in these anymore. Either way, I'm in FL right now. It's good to have some time alone for self-actualization. However, by the looks of my past journals, apparently I did a lot of analyzing as is. Well, that is it for now. Perhaps I will try and update more often. I doubt it though. I always say that I will, but I don't so yeah, I probably won't. Although, now that I wrote that I will most likely do it in spite of myself. Life is so contradictory. Well, it looks like one of my friends is in need of some assistance.

Cheers,
Jenna

oh man, I forgot about this journal. Anyway, vacation is almost over. I'm still in Florida right now, my flight is at 1:00. I heard that MA got a lot of snow (10 inches I believe). That's alright though, I do not mind the snow. I have a lot of things I need to attend to when I get home. This week went by so fast. For the most part my vacation involved movies, reading, eating, purchasing house goods, unpacking boxes, watching children. I enjoyed it. Well, I'm going to go now. Adios.

You enjoy all sorts of situations. Parties, small groups, and alone time.

Too much of one, and you'll long for the other. You need varity!

Chances are, you've got both serious and fun friends - and they don't get along.

solitude
Solitude

Your lyrics

How many times have you told me you love her?
As many times as I wanted to tell you the truth.
How long have I stood here beside you?
I lived through you, you looked through me.

Ooo, Solitude
Still with me is only you
Ooo, Solitude
I can't stay away from you

How many times have I done this to myself?
How long will it take before I see?
When will this hole in my heart be mended?
Who now is left alone but me?

Ooo, Solitude
Forever me and forever you
Ooo, Solitude
Only you, Only true

Everyone leaves me stranded,
forgotten, abandoned
left behind.
I can't stay her another night

Your secret admirer, who could it be?

Can't you you see all along it was me?
How can you be so blind as to see right through me?

Solitude
Still with me is only you
Ooo, solitude
I can't stay away from you

Solitude
Forever me and forever you
Ooo, Solitude
Only you, Only true

What Evanescence song are you?
brought to you by Quizilla
